Global Game Jam

Hey guys,

Friday, January 25th marks the date for Global Game Jam!

It’s one of our biggest events, so I encourage everyone to go. Here is some of the general information along with some helpful links.

Global Game Jam is the world’s largest game jam event. Basically, it’s a weekend of game development. Small teams of programmers, artists, designers, musicians and others start the weekend with an idea and create a game. For anyone interested in working on video games as a career or just for fun, this event is a must. People are invited to explore new technology tools, trying on new roles in development and testing their skills to do something that requires them to design, develop create, test and make a new game in the time span of 48 hours. Participants can come and go as they see fit, and the facility will be open for the entire duration of the event. There is no experience required and there will be many industry veterans in attendance.
This is the real deal. Come to this event and you will have a game you can show off to your friends and future employers.
